Casino Bonus Disputes: Terms, Evidence and Complaints

An evidence folder with receipts, a camera and a flag marking a record.

Separate an unclear offer from a dispute

Before depositing, warning signs include an operator identity you cannot match, significant terms hidden behind broken links, or support that will not explain the wagering base. These are reasons to pause. They do not, by themselves, prove fraud.

After accepting a promotion, the question is more specific: did the operator apply the terms you accepted? A disputed maximum bet, excluded game or balance deduction needs a transaction record, not just the headline advertisement.

Save evidence that identifies the agreement

Keep a dated copy of the offer and its complete terms. Include the promotion name, legal operator, domain, account identifier and the time you opted in. A screenshot of today’s page may differ from the terms that applied last week.

Download account activity where possible. Keep deposits, withdrawals, wagers, balance changes and support replies in one folder. Do not post passwords, identity documents, card details or full account screenshots publicly.

Describe the mismatch in a short timeline

Here is a fictional complaint structure you can adapt:

On 4 September I accepted promotion A. The saved terms state that game B contributes 100%. On 5 September the account recorded $20 of eligible stakes but no progress. Please explain the calculation and identify the clause applied. I have attached the relevant terms and transaction references.

Use your actual dates and amounts. State the remedy you are requesting, such as correcting a progress figure or explaining a deduction. Do not guess a legal conclusion or threaten staff; a clear factual record is easier to investigate.

Match each complaint to the evidence it needs

Disputed issueMost useful record
Game contribution missingExact game, wager IDs, stakes and contribution clause
Maximum-bet breach allegedRound total, additional bets and the applicable limit wording
Bonus winnings removedBalance before and after, deduction entry and reason supplied
Terms changedSaved accepted version, acceptance time and later wording

Keep original records intact and annotate a separate copy if that helps explain the sequence. A single large file of screenshots is harder to follow than a short timeline with a reference for each event. Remove unrelated private information from anything shared outside the formal secure process.

Use the operator’s formal complaint route

Ask for a complaint reference and a written outcome. A live-chat conversation may not count as a formal complaint, so check the published process. If support cites a clause, request the version that applied when you accepted the offer.

Start with the business’s own procedure. Deadlines and any independent dispute route depend on the regulator and the operator; for example, Great Britain’s complaint guidance allows the business eight weeks, and its ADR route depends on the dispute. Check the process named in your operator’s terms.

Avoid making the problem larger

Do not deposit again to demonstrate an error, unlock a promised refund or recover the disputed amount through more play. If a message asks for a new payment to release winnings, verify it through the operator’s official account channel before taking any action.

Our withdrawal guide helps distinguish a pending transfer from a bonus-balance restriction. If the operator identity itself is uncertain, start with the operator checks in our pre-deposit checklist.
